Cancer Survivor walk

Today is the Komen Colorado Race  for the Cure

I thought it would be a good time to post a survivor walk Karyn and I were invited to do while visiting Michigan this summer.

Congratulations Andrea, and thank you for asking us to walk with you!

It turned out to be a beautiful day for the walk, but we just barely made it there as a hug thunderstorm was downpouring.

SIPA2

End of August and time for bottling.  We have the SIP2 and the Big Fish ready to go.

The yeast cake was pretty thick!

Sanitize always sanitize...

And a little help?

We managed to get a yeast cake Scat in our garden.  That looks pretty gross.
3 weeks to wait until the bottles are carbonated.  We're going to have to watch out; the big fish might be 18% abv...  I suppose we should have calculated IBU, surely over 100.

US Pro cycling challenge

Karyn won some VIP tickets to the US Pro cycling challenge.  August 23rd Stage 7 Denver.

It was a great event right downtown in front of the capital building.
We got to meet several team novo nordisk (diabetic racers) team members at the event.  I had them sign my cool new hat.
It was over in a flash.  Luckily they went by 4 times.
