Ran the smoker for the weekend of the 4th


I came across an 11 pound pork shoulder at the store on sale.

I pulled it out to run the smoker this weekend.   I tried a new rub recipe which started with mustard on the meat, followed by the traditional dry rub spices...

Of course I had some problems with the gas feed to the element.  After 7 hours on the smoker I gave up and moved to the grill to finish up...



mmm  It sure was good!  I've still got some left!


Karyn got busy with some new flooring in the laundry room...
